Meet Our Founder

Deirdre McCarthy is the founder of AllSkills Education CLG and the driving force behind FLIT — Financial Literacy for Women & Families. With a unique blend of lived experience as a single parent and over 35 years in project management, IT, and finance, Deirdre is deeply committed to empowering others to build skills that improve their lives and communities.

She holds an MBA from the Open University, an MSc in IT for Strategic Management, alongside a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) designation and multiple diplomas in technology, coding and teaching. This combination of academic excellence and hands-on experience underpins her belief that education, when made accessible and practical, can transform futures.

Through AllSkills and FLIT, Deirdre seeks to bridge the gaps in digital and financial literacy, particularly for women, families, and underserved groups. Her mission is to turn personal challenges and professional expertise into positive social impact, ensuring that everyone has the tools to navigate life with confidence and independence.
