We've got some lovely news to share from AllSkills Education CLG! We're absolutely chuffed to announce we were finalists in the 'Up and Coming' category for the upcoming Social Enterprise Awards. It's a real honour to be seen and noticed, especially when we know there are so many well-deserving social enterprises out there doing brilliant, often unseen, work.
The category winners were HUGS who provide support for front-line workers who deal with trauma and stress every day, many congratulations, very well deserved!
Our Journey So Far
It's been quite the journey for us since we formally incorporated as a financial and digital literacy educator here in Ireland. We were very proud to take part in Rethink Ireland's accelerator programme two years ago, which was a fantastic step on our path.
Our work through projects like FLIT Financial Literacy and Women, Money & Place aims to empower communities with essential financial and digital skills. It's been intense at times, but incredibly rewarding to see more and more people engaging in what we call the 'financial literacy conversation'. That's what it's all about, really – getting people talking and learning.
Acknowledging Our Fellow Travellers
This nomination isn't just about us; it's also a chance to shine a light on the incredible ecosystem that supports social enterprises across Ireland. We want to extend a massive thank you to organisations like the Local Development Companies Network, The Wheel, Irish Social Enterprise Network, and Social Enterprise Republic of Ireland. Your hard work, and the work of many others, is vital in keeping the wheels turning and the lights on for the social enterprise world.
We know firsthand the dedication and passion that goes into every social enterprise. To be recognised amongst such a committed group of changemakers is truly humbling. We're looking forward to the awards and continuing our mission to foster financial and digital literacy in communities right across Ireland. Thank you for all your support on this journey.
